    Fluid in the cylinders... better known as "hydrostatic lock." Especially pertains to water, since it is not compressible.... which would prevent the cylinders from moving during a compression stroke. Gah- got beat by two people. But now you know three times over.

    If I'm not mistaken, there are some members in the Pittsburgh area, or not too far away. I'd try and find someone who has a deuce, and see if they'd take you through the ropes of deuce operation/care/what to look for when buying, and then make a decision.

    I'm no expert on motor vehicle electrical systems, but this sounds similar to problems I've had before on equipment. Couldn't you just disconnect the alternators from the electrical system, charge both batteries, and run the truck for a while without the alternators? If you don't do anything...
