Check that one out. From this thread I am still not convinced, they are talking about low percentage of WMO ......like 25% or less
BTW I am in the UAV field myself but prior 11B
Cool, I'm on staff duty today and not much going on, so I'll see what I can dig up on the topic of CUCV's running WMO. I'm at 1st SFG(A) what MOS/ unit are you with?
I could be corrected as I am still learning myself, but I am reasonably sure the 6.2L CUCV never had that ability in the first place. Most of what you read/hear about WMO is related to the Duece with a White Multi-Fuel engine. I think you would need a "few" modifications to run anything other...
The FT Lewis GL office makes some attempt to safeguard items. Of course they can't stop everything but they do scrutinize screeners. I went in one day (in uniform) after I won my M1008 just thinking I would start the truck for charging purposes and they turned me away.....I was kinda ticked off...
Exactly
:deadhorse:
Yeah the guy in the F-150 tried to run too, there were to many witnesses and I yelled out "stop! I have your tag" Somebody else was trying to stop him too so he gave up I guess.
Guys,
I did not want to get into this further since Dstang did not want to take my advice, but I had a "event" occur on Sunday and I can not remain silent on this. You should have filed a report! Driving under the influence is most likely what this about. It is not your place to decide one...
dstang97,
Personally, I would get the police report sooner rather than later. Just in case whatever arrangements are made go South. Should this end up in small claims court it would look questionable that you waited a week or more to file a report. His attorney could say that some or even...
Ghost,
If your looking at the auction route spend some hours surfing this:

As well as the Deuce forum too.
Good Luck,

No way Mike, It's to late in the game for all that........in fact I can see the light at the end of the tunnel................er unless that's a train coming:???:
My wife is fine with riding in my M1008 as well as my old M1009 (sold) but she does not want to drive any of them.
Wanna hear the odd part?
She was active duty herslf and drove both the LMTV as well as a tracked ambulance while she was stationed at FT Hood.

LG,
Having joined the military back in 1988 All three of my deployments were in the sandbox, so I am partial to tan trucks. Having said that I miss the old BDU uniform and I can't help but like Green camo too, so whatever you decide is fine.
I like the idea of a three color desert camo like...
Just relaxing at home and grilling out with the family, I might have a beer or two in the afternoon but nothing crazy since in the middle of the night I have to go in to help another unit with Jumpmaster duties for a jump.

Maybe but the cab interior along with the ambulance portion looked next to new........there would be no way it was in that good of shape with a roll-over on the odometer, perhaps it did not have 73 miles on it but I have seen way worse on under 50k vehicles
Most CUCV VIN's are the same, it's other vehicles like M35s that are shorter.
I am borrowing from Steal Soldier member Michael's post on the cucv FAQ thread:
How to decode your vin number:
1st digit = Nation of Origin
-- 1 = USA
2nd digit = company
-- G = General Motors
3rd digit =...
