There was somewhere in the vicinity of 22 - 25 vehicles on site this evening when I left.
Get there if you are able. It will be quite a show in the parade. :D
Mike, if we were really cagey, he could drive my M715. It is original and is a 9th Division truck. It was attached to the 9th Med. Bn of the 9th Div. It is a 67.
1st Sgt. Gifford called this evening and asked if he could borrow the M38A1 and tag along for the parade on Saturday. I said of course, so will probably have the 38A1 and M54 along for this event on Saturday. Hope to get down tomorrow afternoon or earlier depending on work. Thought I would...
The pictured tent is a M1942 Small Wall tent and if you have a stash of those, I would be interested in a couple as well. The majority of them, that I have seen, seem to have been made in 1942 and they were out of the tent manual in the early 60's.
I put the pictures in to show the various...
Special Thanks to Bill and Jeff High for organizing this event. While they must have had headaches, from my point of view it went seamlessly and well. At least for all the things they could control. Thank you and mission accomplished.
Here are a few photos from the event. Sorry I didn't...
I bought my M54 3 years ago. 3 years before that, the city put 2600 dollars in brakes, bearings, airpack, and mastercylinder. I have the reciepts. They switched to DOT 3 from 5. Every wheel cylinder was rusty. They were all new. Was able to hone a couple, but decided it was easier to put...
Loco why would switch from DOT 5 to DOT 3? Sounds like you are on a good track, take your time and if it needs fixed, do it. You will be happier when you are done.
Nice find on the batteries. Mine seem to be in pretty good shape, but I guess you never know when they will tweak out. The batteries in my 2001 Dodge civy truck are the originals and they still seem to be working fine. but I am feeling nervous. Maybe it has to do with having two batteries...
If you want to build an A frame, go ahead. But if you have a long plank or two, make a ramp, afix a come along to the front of the bed, and winch that sucker up into the back. Or take one of your winch equiped trucks, put a snatch block in the other truck, and hit the winch, it will slide up...
Just when I get lazy about looking at CL. my son lives in BHam going to Western. He could have tied the deal up for us.
All I see are the jeeps that are thousands that need thousands more to make them habitable again.
No problem, will get you a few more when I quit goofing off. Am preping for next weekend.
We are doing Vietnam at the base of the tower. You could probably come along as a Russian advisor to the North. :) Have not done this impression in a long time so have to dig out stuff.
If you don't have a particular area picked out to display your 715, we have a Vietnam display going on the north side of the base of the temporary tower. We will have an M151, M38A1 and someone is bringing a PBR.
I found out that my 715 is 4 inches too wide for the car trailer that I have and...
