Some of the brush truck buiders (the old 'Long Island Brush Truck,' for instance) got to the point of pulling the factory pto winches and plating the winch area and slapping on the largest elec winch on the market. Too many guys couldn't figure out the pto winch or would forget to disengage it...

I do believe you could do that. I have. Most of the medium duty trucks run seperate systems for steering and braking.

Trango, I've seen the style that you've referred to with the hyd ram pushing on the pitman arm. I've seen heavier applications where it has that, plus an additional ram on the axle. I'm a BIG fan of having that ram axle mounted. On my big M715 I have a...

Another thing to remember is that when you put a huge heavy tire on a deuce Rockwell you will break it. Beater trucks, off road toys, etc will pop axleshafts routinely. Keeping the front open will help it live a little longer. CV's...

That screw drive Rocks!!! Gives me all kinds of dumb ideas. :D Couple of frame rails, engine enough to drive meaty hydraulic pump, two good sized hydraulic motors...hmmm. Rolling the screws would probably be not the most fun ever-
