Welcome Daniel. You came to the right place for sure.
You might consider buying from a private party...especially one who may have gone through the truck and got it running nicely.
If auction is you way to go, there are plenty of people on here who have done it before that could help. Once...
Air shift or Sprag transfer case? If it's a sprag case, it may not be disengaging correctly. You are starting out in 1st, right?
Also check the tires again, you may have one trying to come apart on you. Look for bulges or blisters.
I'm assuming you have the smaller mirrors?
TNJ Murray has NOS mirrors themselves for a decent price. You'll need to get the mounting hardware...best to find a truck that is being parted out for that (that way you'll get all the bits at once). Ask around...I know a few people like Miltrucks or...

Wow...great info Renovate7! Saturn is usually a good place to source parts, but it looks like in this case they are not the right place to look.
I'm assuming TNJ Murray has the correct tanks then?
For those using glad-hands for tools, it's always a good idea to keep a few of the rubber gaskets in your tool-box. They do rot out, and can ruin your day when that happens. They are like a buck each at NAPA, and easy to replace in the field.
Chicklin,
If your truck does not have the fitting (mine didn't) it will at least have the place to put a fitting on (standard NPT fitting).
I would recommend using a glad-hand adapter and run your tools off of the emergency glad-hand on the outside of the truck. It's less hassle to get to...
Todd, keep us posted on the balancing stuff...I might be going this same route for my 14.50s on my deuce. If you can work out a deal on getting the materials bulk, be sure to share the love.
This may help...maybe not. :?
According to the SMARPI9-2320-209-14P-3 the part number is 5934071. Looking at that part number through some logistics manuals, I come up with the following NIIN part number: 2530-01-257-7643 (that is NOT an NSN number BTW). From there the trail dries up. I...
RE: General Deuce Q
For #3, some of the later A2s (mid-80s up to 1988) came with the split system, as do all of the A3s. Honestly it's a bit of a plumbing nightmare under there...lots of lines and whatnot all concentrated into one area. I would hate to reverse-engineer one. IMO: Buy a deuce...
There ya go! 200 degrees on a 100 degree day isn't bad...especially under load (your foot). It got back down to 180 in-town, so I think you're cooling problems have been solved!
I would take Mike's advise and put a coolant filtration set-up on that truck to keep you running cool in the future...
I use that same Harborfreight one. It'll do 1500lbs/ft.
Note that you need 1/2" air line to make that work right. I've put together a glad hand with a large 1/2" air fitting, connected to the hose that goes to the impact. It's all about CFM with impacts, not just PSI.
Note that the torque...
