That could well be, but I am lazy and can be impatient. Which is why having parts cars is so appealing to me. Need a fastener, bracket, relay, hose, linkage, water pump, spring, steering box, lever, or grommet? Simply go to the parts car and remove it - if it's still there and functional. Yes...

If only the timing had been better, I would've tried buying two. Not worth the trip to go get only one from here.

I can only imagine how much fun it must've been to get those cars and trucks up and running in the morning, in the dead of winter. But, with no other fuel available during the war, they did what they had to do. Much like breakfast being made on a wood stove, not in a microwave.

Nah. But I'd give you five bucks if you let me do it with your SEE.

The regular one would be for normal cooling of the engine, the front one a condenser of sorts...I think.

Here's the first article in our new 4 part series on Alternative Fuels. I wanted to share it with you below in this email, and you can also read this one and 142 other articles on our survivalist bog platform, hosted on steemit here. Alternative Fuels for Survival Part 1 Alternative fuel...

It was pictured in an article about alternative fuels - largely about wood gas. Caught my interest since my grandfather had a wood gas fired truck during/after the war in Europe.

    Came across, this. Very inspirational

Well, yes, it did crack me up. But not for the reason you think. It reminded me of a friend who left a shop rag in his motorhome's automatic trans pan. You got off easy. Could those rings be gaskets for the air cleaner lid?

Today, which turned out to be a complete and utter waste of time (whoda thunk, I was only driving two hours each way to a Govt. office) I found myself listening to blues on the radio - to cheer me up.

There are so few things electrical that I would like to remain functional - starter, gauges, work lights front and rear, and the high rpm switch - that I'm willing to take the chance. If something doesn't work afterwards, it'd be easy enough to run new wiring/switches for it.

If only I had the time to go get them, I'd gladly pay $200 for the two least worst ones. Being able to go get some little part in the yard as the need arises can be priceless. Surely they haven't managed to destroy everything on them.

Okay, so that's what I saw a little higher up on the back of the battery box, a shunt. Makes sense, with two cables and two wires on it. Well, if it isn't needed, it might as well be eliminated. Every connection is a potential trouble spot, and at best, a slight drop in voltage. What's in the...

In all fairness, it does say "Mutilation not required" in the description. Somewhat along the same lines, since today has been an unusually crappy day, I decided to let my brain cell do a little work as the body wasn't willing. Thought about the earlier tilting-the-cab question in order to get...

Just got this email from General Hood; "I'm at ICU with my granddaughter. things don't look good. Tell the guys I'd appreciate thoughts and prayers in her behalf" This sure has turned into a somber day.

Mark, that quick attach adapter started life as a Titan adapter, and there are photos a few pages back. But to be specific, the parts used were primarily the adapter, tape measure, torch, MIG, Magic Markers, and angle grinders. Can't say that any attachments have been used regularly yet since I...

An odd coincidence? Earlier today I thought about removing the cab. Not tilting it, but removing it. It would help immensely with access to all kinds of things and improve visibility greatly. Yeah, it would be less pleasant in wind driven rain and when it's really cold, but that might be a...

I'm guessing that it was for the Russian's missiles, since I've never had much luck with protecting, freeing, or much of anything except removing bug splatter, with WD-40.

Hmm, sharing those operator deficiencies, you just gave me another idea (thanks a lot, Mark, I have more than enough to do as it is). Since I'm halfway through running hydraulic hoses from the rear to the loader already, why not add a small pair for a cylinder for a clamp, too? Although, the...

Are you insinuating that I should remove the key and battery switch key...and even lock the doors?!? Nah, if the rats can figure out how to start a SEE, they can have it. And speaking of having, today the major parts for the erector set that will become a roof extension on the garage arrived...
