Heck, I didn't even have any flames close to my batter in one of the trucks when a cell blew. Shorts changing event it was as I was about 5 feet away.

I read the thread and didn't see where you are picking the truck up from? I had a guy and his brother fly to Dayton and buy a Deuce from me and drove it to Amarillo, TX. The only problem was a broken fan belt and I had included a new set of belts with the truck, along with a bunch of parts...

Well right there's your problem, carp in your oil. If mine had carp in it I'd change it to and switch brands of oil. Carp screws up everything. (No, I could NOT resist.) :-)

They also put an Allison push button transmission in them as well.

I can't imagine the damper shock going up over 100% in price in the last 4 years. Holy cow! That's some serious inflation. I bought one from eTrailers for $60 (4 years ago) to replace one Gimpy loaned me.

I'd certainly want to read that myself. While anything mechanical/electrical can fail I highly doubt that any of the newer trucks are that more reliable than a Deuce. No, this NOT saying I don't like the newer trucks or putting them down.
