    Haspin Fall Get Together 2016

The only way it would take away from the GMVR is if the people that go to the GMVR decided to go to Haspin. They won't and it don't. Next year put it in the rally section.

Funny, I think Gimpy put a mag run-flat in the back of my 5-ton for just such an occasion.

    B-58 HUSTLER and her variants

The best thing about a J79 is they produce their own smoke screen to protect you from the enemy or was that to give ground forces a trail to follow so they could fire at what was at the end of the it... I can never remember which. ;-)

I did Rory. :-) I'm surprised the smokin J79s would make it above the speed limit on an Interstate highway, let alone set speed records.

Are you just going to send your stunt trail riding daughter instead? :-) (I hope she is still doing okay from the last time.)

Broken Axle - Outback ( way outback )

Coming back might not be as bad. You put ratchet straps and/or chains to hold the rear together then it won't come apart and would be drive able over all kinds of terrain. If you had seen what Gimpy drove over to get the broke Deuce back to camp at Haspin this year you would see why I say...

Broken Axle - Outback ( way outback )

That was my first thought as well. Disconnect drive shaft put it up on dolly and drive it out.

Say what? Mach 11. Not with GE J79 engines.

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

If the filter is only 5 months old (the original) then it sound like a lot of crud in the tank. At least you are a long way down the road from the breakdown location. Good luck and safe journeys.

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

So, no fuel at the bottom of the filter? Can you take the line off the tank at the ball valve and figure out a way to get compressed air into the tank fill opening? Maybe the pickup is clogged.

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

But it sounds like you may have crud in the tank that slowly got sucked in and clogged the filter.

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

Here is a post from about fuel system and priming hoefler: I have gone through two A3 fuel systems. What to do. First, take the elbow off the top of the tank-there is a check valve in it. It may be gummed up. Clean it so the valve-ball operates freely. Re-install. Open petcock on bottom of fuel...

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

A post I found from Warthog: The check valve on the fuel tank likes to rust closed causing a no fuel situation. There is no in tank fuel pump so bleeding/priming the fuel system takes some work.

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

Okay Are there any places you can get a new filter? I'd still try that first. Clean fuel? Fittings tight along the entire fuel line? (No sucking air.)

A3 fuel Problems, was broke down in Morganfield, Kentucky

One was last on in August and the other in June. We have two members over closer to Louisville but your best bet is for the M35A3 guys to chime in. I suspect fuel filters. I'm not as familiar with the A3 but does it have an in tank pump? Is it working? Then go to the primaries. One step at...

    Hello From Beavercreek Oh

The 939 series is much bigger than the 809 series and they are bigger than the Deuces. The best thing about all the 5-tons is power steering although the Deuce I have left feels like it has it as well. There are a lot of threads on the differences and the pros and cons.
