To each there own but I would figure a gearset , set of used axle shafts and some brake hardware would be cheaper than another front axle asembly, wheels and tires. I wish 15's where extinct, there all you can find around here.
Have you ever monitored the "3rd" leg on a phase converter durring load/no load switching? Guess what those spikes do to the circutry & transformers in the machine? I use phase convertors on motors only. To each there own though.
Yea but why not run the six lug version????????? Wheels wont interchange between his trailer and truck anyway. I guess I just dont see the reason for axing ever being able to run 15in tires again. There much cheaper and much more availible.
101A3 has hmmwv rims right?
Seems like alot of work just to have a little bit larger axle shaft in the rear. You will still have C-clips in the rear and the front will be the EXACT same strength when it comes to turning 37's.
IMO, I wouldnt bother with looking for a 60 to go with that rear axle.
If I where you I would find a 6 lug version of that axle you have (9.5 metric 14 bolt) and swap that in. Leave the front axle alone seing how there will be nothing gained by swaping to a 3/4 ton front other than a lil...
Shure did, The whole less than 5 miles lol. 818 ran perfect. I would of much rather sat around and shot the sh!t more but had to go to work. Man was it cold this morning.
Andy, I can only assume you made it home just fine?
Anyone know who one the cucv's with the boarding ladders at lansing?
I noice a power loss at top end with the C but much more bottom end grunt. This is because the C spools sooner than the D. The D is better for higher speeds though.
Few words of advice, If those horns where on the dodge, Do Not put them on the deuce. Get a new set. Buddy of mine had the same set of stacks in 3 trucks.....all three rolled. Didnt put the stacks in truck 4.....no problems.
