I have a friend who keeps ripping boots. I seeem to remember that there was a good boot and a thinner, not so good boot.
any info?
and where to get them?
left and right deuce doors in fair shape with glass?
roof dented in fair shape?
windsield frame and windows complete. fair condition?
spring seat fair?
pass. bench seat fair?
I want to buy these items from a friend that is using other parts off the truck. he does not need these.
I bought the 1 inch and took it back and spent more money for the 3/4. My plan was to be able to use it for other things, worked good when I took my M109 box off.
I just read something in a thread about u joints and grease in the boots. Somone said that havine grease inside is better than having water. I was thinking the same thing here.
I think he filled them with the drive flange off. the grease is suposed to fill voids so that water cant get in because the grease is there. seems like a good Idea, but how well it will wrok I don't know. we will know soon. just thought I would check and see what others thought.
a friend of mine drilled and tapped a hole on the side of the hub for grease zerk. He is filling it full of grease to keep water out. He only drives offroad. and trailers it onroad
thoughts?
