    Easter find M1008 2015

Your work never ceases to amaze me! In my words. My work never ceases. It amazes me at how much I can get completed when I apply myself. I have days that I get kicked back a bit. I start off everyday as if it is going to be the best. I don't hang out with negative naysayers. And nothing makes...

Fall 2017 Rausch Creek Off Road Park

With the current no rain conditions here I don't see that as a problem. That no rain could change in a month. You can do 99.9% without going in mud that deep. Have a safe trip.

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

I've got a lovely bunch of Blazer seats. here they are all standing in a row. The center one not so nice. But a wealth of needed parts. This is the pivot bolt out of the donor seat. Looks like these seats were wet for a long time. Not mine. They were dusty dry in the barn. All stripped down and...

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

Quick and easy The rear gate is all welded up and I began working a thin layer of filler out on the areas I repaired. As I mentioned I wanted to post a few pictures tonight. Last night the brazing took place. All in all a nice rear gate. Bottom edge was in excellent condition. Just the corners...

    m1008 fuel tank help

And add to that the hole in the side of the bedside. I did the easy way because it did exactly what you want it to do. I read my gauge and both were within a gallon or 2 of being equal in volume. I opted the easy way for long upstate PA trips. I do have a dash flipper switch I bought new and...

    m1008 fuel tank help

Yes. 2 sending units and a flipper valve. A complicated mess of wiring. It's not factory no matter how hard you try. It is an add on. If it is for ease and extra travel range do it the easy way or get another truck that has the set up and change everything. I notice they don't do the dual tanks...

    m1008 fuel tank help

Same goes. No. And the tank is the same tank just switched around. Same brackets also. The plumbing is fairly easy. I had one and Y ed the suction side. It pulled almost equal and I only used the stock left sending unit. It was NOT dead on but accurate enough. I have a few that the fuel gauge is...

    m1008 fuel tank help

Yes Sir that is how they were made. I removed that bracket also. That was part of the body mount that mark Body Company added to reinforce the frame flange. I removed several of the M1010 bodies from the chassis when they were about 8 -10 years old. The bolts were not rusted fast and I recall...

    m1008 fuel tank help

yes it is possible. It will be challenging to get the fuel lines off but it is possible. If it were me. I would cut the fuel lines. Avoid messing with the old clamps and hard seated hose. I would then replace the clamps ad the 3 sizes of fuel line with new and new clamps. The real challenge that...

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

Welded up the patch on the center of the gate and fixed the crack up top. No pictures. I was running out of daylight as I completed the work tonight. Did some grinding and tapped all the threaded holes for the lift arm covers. Busy night. Just finished a few minutes ago. Time for rest and back...

    Easter find M1008 2015

That's an idea. Line them up have sanders, tapers, washers, driers, one guy sealing, another 3 people coming along with the paint. 1 green, 1 brown, 1 black. About 10 FT. apart. It could be done. No standing around, smoking and texting. I can see it now. 8 hours 5 trucks could be painted. Have a...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

That would be a long haul for you in a CUCV. I wouldn't do it unless I trailered it there and home. Not even a tow bar that far. To many if's and maybe's. Have a Great Day.
