I second this vote against them. I tried to get a M54A1 from GA to NM and accepted their bid.
It was 4 weeks later and still " we will get to it soon!" I canceled also.
I have heard on here -
A) they are the same width as a deuce rim - 7.5"
B) they are wider than a deuce rim maybe 10"
there is too much snow for me to pull one off of my M54A2 to verify what the exact size is but I hope some one on here can give us an exact measurement

Also forgot to say that the truck might also be a M543A2, basically the same truck as a M62 just a different boom on the back.
You don't leave a multi-fuel truck in gear because they are very easy to "bump"start. In case it rolls forward or back with the stop cable not pulled out it can start...

the M62 wrecker is in the M39 series of trucks.
the tech manuals are the 9-2320-211-10 ( operators) and -20 (maintenance)
there is also a good tm on just the LDS 465 multi-fuel engine, not sure on the number but its in the list on here.
Yep, brakes are single circuit air over hydraulic. Easy to work on though, just heavy stuff.

Sounds like a wrecker if it has a boom. If it runs and everything works, then 5 grand is a very good price. Just remember, the parts and pieces on a 5 ton are quite heavy and large so take that into consideration when thinking about repairs.
