I believe they are changing their name over to Filterfuge? Here is a link that describes it and the dieselcraft centrifuge:

Has anyone picked up a large truck at Barstow CA location and had the GL guy assist in loading?
I have a 5 ton there and a trucker lined up to pick it up. It does not run and needs to be winched/towed onto a trailer. The trucker wants to charge an extra $500 to do this. I called Dave(the...
RE: Re: no title route
I called my insurance agent at Alllstate and they knew what I was talking about. Just tell them you are trying to title a vehicle that has never had a title and see it they will issue a title bond.
no title route
Ed,
In New Mexico you can go get a "title bond" (I think its called) at your insurance place and you should be able to get a title without the SF-97. I am gonna try with my duece next week to go that route.
I have a guy at work that has done several vehicles this way when he...

So what is the best way to "revive" a dead battery? I get volts on it but when I hook up my battery charger, no charge. the liquid level is correct but I have not check the PH on it yet.
True, but you would not have "Bob" from Texas buying a scrap deuce in California. It would have to be local scrap guys buying it, so I would think that would cut down on sales some.
Anyway point being that if we just accept the way GL is doing things, even if they are not right/legal, then...

The cable is attached with a allen head bolt in the drum, any local wire rope/cable place should be able to hook you up.
While I agree this could happen, I doubt it. Look at the prices some of the trucks are getting. I know scrap iron is high but they would make more money as whole vehicles than scrap/no title. and profit is everything.
My first GL win deuce I actually got an Arizona title for it. I realize...
Are you trying to connect the two female ends? or the one female end inside to the male fitting on the valve block?
If its the two female connections, just go get a pipe nipple in the right size and its should screw right in.
Re: RE: New turtle is home
Ed,
No it was a Tuesday when I picked it up. Bruce was very helpful, started it up and told me what issues he knew about it. He gets a two thumbs up from me!! [thumbzup] [thumbzup]
Well, I finally got it started last night.
How did I drive it home you ask? The very helpful GL rep at the base had already told me that the batteries were bad and he had jumped started it with a slave cable.
When I picked it up, he had it running when I got there, so I just never shut it...
Re: RE: New turtle is home
The tap for the lighter is off one of the batteries, runs up under the body through the sidewall by the passengers foot and under the dash.
I will get a better pic of the hood, it looks like a horse head blowing steam/smoke?
