Bjorn: in your "dolly offloaded at Jason's.jpg" picture, the rear tire looks pretty worn. How many miles did you have on them when you started the trip and how many at that point? Was there a point at which you changed any tires for wear?

Another option if the hammer trick doesnt work is to see if you can role the truck slightly. I've found that when I had a problem in my automatic toyota truck, if I shifted out of park, let it role slightly, that was enough for the started to have some movement and it would fire right up. I...

The Amsoil oil-bypass filter system advertises filtration to a tenth of a micron...I'm going to pursue that option in the near future...I'm still not sold on pre-lube systems yet. That may change in the future. Question: do many of the big rig units use pre-lubers?

I'm not sold on a pre-lube yet...i think the spin-ons and an oil-bypass will suffice...but then again, when i get that work done...i can share a more informed opinion.
