    Winch Wanted

RE: Re: RE: Winch Wanted I've grown up with this one. My great grandfather bought it brand new in 1950, along with the Ford 5 ft mower that we still use with it. They're awesome tractors. Good luck finding a winch for your truck!

    m123 10 ton

M123A1C had V8 Cummins 300s... special Military versions (the engine). From the factory, most m123s (if not all) had the LeRoi T-H844 V8 Gassers. If its got the Diesel, your standard weight is 29k If its got the Gasoline engine, your standard weight is 32.25k. You're looking at 27-30,000 lbs...

    Bobbing my Deuce

Probably :deadhorse: , but has anyone considered making a tandem SWB tractor? Just curious... I always thought the tandem rear axles as part of a deuce's "savoir faire" Looks real nice, though. I bet it makes the ole girl a lot more fun, and easier to maneuver in these hostile environments we...

The key to a good deuce buy

No power steering on the A2s. I'm not sure if any units did put the air-o-matic on the deuces, I thought that was only in "private" ownership.

    A milestone in the restoration!

Same with my M37, except it lived in a mudhole (swamp). For 15 years. I just drove it upon on a ramp going down a hill, chauked her up like no tomorrow, and climbed under her and pressure washed like crazy. She lost a couple hundred pounds, and she still got mud all over everything from the...

    5 Hours and $35.

RE: Re: sanding I love these little wheels, and the wire wheels too. What did you use, a grinder or a drill? I know I use a grinder for big parts, and now use one of these wheels in a drill press for smaller parts. Very handy.

    City Hall problems?

Re: RE: City Hall problems? Then may God help you, brave soul! Although I think its pretty cool that you are able to keep an M37 and M35A2 with such a small space for parts and stuff, and not have the wife kill you!

    City Hall problems?

I enjoy having a big back yard. If the apartment complex behind me or the fancy-pantsie 1/4 acre-per-lot sub division behind me want to complain, we'll see who can yell farther. It'll take a while for me to run out of ammo.... :grd:

I need a cheep 24v battery for my m37 florida

2 12s should work fine. That's what I've got in mine. Then you can just separate them and use a normal 12v charger for charging, and for working in the battery box you don't need a strong yet thickheaded in-law or forklift to get the battery out.

    M37 not starting

My gas tank is a 2.5 gallon red plastic thing lashed to the front bumper. Thank goodness for the winch and the extended bumper!

    My first Deuce...

RE: Re: My first Deuce... The Hercules non-turbo is a standard Deuce motor (LDT 465, all the same whether made by White, Hercules, Continental, etc...) without a turbo.
