RE: Re: RE: Winch Wanted
I've grown up with this one. My great grandfather bought it brand new in 1950, along with the Ford 5 ft mower that we still use with it. They're awesome tractors. Good luck finding a winch for your truck!
M123A1C had V8 Cummins 300s... special Military versions (the engine). From the factory, most m123s (if not all) had the LeRoi T-H844 V8 Gassers.
If its got the Diesel, your standard weight is 29k
If its got the Gasoline engine, your standard weight is 32.25k.
You're looking at 27-30,000 lbs...
Probably :deadhorse: , but has anyone considered making a tandem SWB tractor? Just curious... I always thought the tandem rear axles as part of a deuce's "savoir faire"

I enjoy having a big back yard. If the apartment complex behind me or the fancy-pantsie 1/4 acre-per-lot sub division behind me want to complain, we'll see who can yell farther. It'll take a while for me to run out of ammo.... :grd:
2 12s should work fine. That's what I've got in mine. Then you can just separate them and use a normal 12v charger for charging, and for working in the battery box you don't need a strong yet thickheaded in-law or forklift to get the battery out.
RE: Re: My first Deuce...
The Hercules non-turbo is a standard Deuce motor (LDT 465, all the same whether made by White, Hercules, Continental, etc...) without a turbo.
