There is another alternative for flipping the hubs. The A3 rims can be chamfered on the back side to accept a lugnut. The cost to do this is unknown. Here's a thread showing a truck with A3 wheels and 15.5 tires and the rear rims are reversed...
With only 18' of stick, you need to get pretty close. While a practical tool, it may be underrated for the task. Maybe consider a surplus rough terrain forklift?
If I may, I would like to point out that they are both dropsides. For an additional $300 it would be a no brainer for me, get the nice one with a cover.
In the end this would be a better route. My 91 burb was lacking the 3rd seat but had the latch pockets in place. I was lucky enough to find a seat on CL for $35 and the fabric was an exact match.
