Hmmm I can't help but wonder about this one. Stateside the units can file a FOI (found on Installation) and get possession of an item until or if the true owner/unit can be found. Perhaps there is a angle there? I have seen guys get ownership of abandoned civilian vehicles on base this way...
Eco,
I am fairly new to MV's (at least as far as GL recoveries and actually owning my own) I can tell you some things I have read here on SS, perhaps others will read this and chime in also:
1. Each site is different depending on who is running things or limited manning etc... so I would...
dang maybe I will be back in Columbus for the 2012 PB mini-rally.....just left there too...oh well I'm glad it went so well sounded like everyone had a blast!

Well forget that idea......I was going to stop in and crank it up to let it run but the GL site manager asked why and I honestly said why I wanted to stop by and I was told "It is not your truck yet, you have not been cleared for it yet" I said well I have paid for it already and he then said...
Ok I can't remember where I read about these, but what were these for? I have seen them in Red/yellow/orange. (not having luck with the search feature)
Thanks,
Dale
Dam....this wait is killing me, I have a vehicle down for a engine rebuild and all I have is my motorcycle. It was freakin COLD riding in this morning and it is so aggrevating to know I have a running 1008 that I can't have yet!
Mark,
"Mark" me down for two also, I will paypal you in the next 24hrs (no time now) gotta get to work and I'm running a bit behind.
Thanks,
CW2 Dale Campbell
hmmm there were 6 or so M1009's sold in last weeks auction at FT Lewis, WA several were not in running condition perhaps someone bought one just as a parts truck? if so there might be a seat for sale
I am sucking on this end guys, my wait has not been long but my primary vehicle a 03 Dodge Durango started having problems after the cross-country PCS move from FT Benning, GA to FT Lewis Washington. After several mis-diagnosis (and wasted money $1200) I had it towed to the Dealership here in...
Sorry I beg to differ, for example the army paid $32,000 (or less depending on variation) for a vehicle say 25 years ago, and now we are are still paying a $1000 or triple that for a bare bones vehicle that does not even have AC which may or may not even be running and most likely missing keys...
Don't get me started on GL, I just had a encounter with them on the cucv I won, they would not accept my EUC because my Driver's License did not match my physical address. Wow an army guy with an out of state DL no way........
EUC at Battle Creek now, here are some more pics I took today. Just found out my primary vehicle needs a partial rebuild to the tune of $3,000 so the sooner I can pick up my cucv the better!
Sorry for the cut and paste but I really did not want to have type all this again...
DRMS Staff,
I am an active duty CW2 in the US Army, I recently bid and won a Government Liquidation auction (4080/ xxxx). I was recently transferred from FT Benning, GA to FT Lewis, WA. My problem is that...
Greg, I am here at Lewis I would be glad to take pics or whatever just let me know. if it was the 1009 with the green passenger door its not as bad as the picture portrays it.

Thanks, I had heard they have not had many CUCV's in awhile..... regardless I am glad they had these! I was watching them all but this was the only one I was serious enough about to bid on. I can't wait to get EUC and pick it up.

I actually wanted a M1009 but something about this 1008 when I screened it made me change my mind and bid on this one. Overall good 1st auction for me, I was the first to bid on it and my max bid amount won it!
