There is a NHTSB recall on the switch, put out in 1989. Look under AM General, I've posted it on here before. Also, that number chart is for tracked vehicles, not wheeled... Won't be much help here. Search for a thread entitled m35a2 twist style switch, this has been discussed before.
Back to the records... In the Army, units are lucky to get the SAMMS disk with the maintaincece info when a piece of equipment gets transferred from one unit to another. I have yet to see a piece of Army equipment go out the door from GL with anything more that a outdated 2404/5988E stuffed...
That one is the materials handling version, called the high mobility materials handler, and there is one pictured on the front cover of the TM 5-2420-244-10
That version has an impact wrench that the other doesn't.

You really dont want to replace the sending unit unless you are 100% CERTAIN it is bad, and nothing else could possibly be the problem. It's a Brass sender threaded into an Aluminum casting, and over time, the 2 tend to fuse themselves together, making for a **** of time removing it. Just...

The vapor recovery system equipped trailers seem to of only been sent to states CONUS that had stringent laws regarding that sort of stuff. In Texas, we had non vapor recovery trailers.
