.....Do i dare respond?......
You will find that the shift fork shaft is going to hit the flange on the 4500, You can modify the 4500 to clear though. You will also need a spacer to go between the 2 as they will bottom out on each other before the surfaces contact.
dont know why you linked a pick of the mounts.....they are exactly as i described in post 14. I have 8+ 4500's with the factory mounts, Kinna familiar with them.....
Not trying to be an ass but its not for a gm if the 2 outside bolt holes dont line up. If you buy the E.S. mount for a 90's gm K1500-3500 auto or man it will fit the crossmember I mentioned. They are all the same.
PS, the center bolt is not used in the replacment aplication........
FWIW, a crosmember from a blazer / suburban or other chevy w/ short style adapter will bolt to your mount correctly and have the correct drop/ notch for the front drive shaft. You can identify them by the double or single hump design. Not flat.
Btw, Nice job, you will love it !
The governer (part that breaks) in the FF 14 is the same size as the 10 bolt. True you wont loose an axle though. Keep in mind not all 8-lugs are FF. 13in brakes are overkill for a 1009.
Dont get me wrong, I am in no way bad mouthing heavier axles but there are aplication correct ways of...
Ahh i was invisioning a "simple bolt on". I see what you are talking about now. Gonna need a nice tight Hub-Centric fit on them. Might be and issue with mass production for these trucks.
Not defending anyone, but around here they use many ex mil vehicals (mainly cucv's) for the rural FF departmants. The GLFD has a Beutiful 1028 with a removable tank/pump skid for there brush truck. In the UP they use some 5ton tankers.
The GLFD/ EMT also has 2 2004 ford f-350 ambulances that...
When you turn the wheel while driving will it keep turning all the way to lock without your effort?
Are the brakes abnormaly easy to push, little effort needed to stop?
