I guess it would depend on a few things.
1- are you mechanicaly inclined? Not saying that it wiil break down on you, but if it did???
2- The deuce will be signifigantly slower...56 mph max. How long do you have set aside to do the physical drive?
3- Will you need to pull a trailer to get all...
Mike, Big Bear is cool, but, with the lack of rain, don't know if USFS will like us what with no spark arrestors. I would HATE to start a fire out there. We would all be responsible for it. Ocatillo is good . Jullian? Salton Sea? Some of the maps I have are too big to scan and post.
How 'bout...
Well, we had a great turn out for the trip to ITC bone yard, and it was touched on out there. How about a high desert get together here in So. Cal??? I have seen a few posts from some new guys up there and I know of at least 3 other people that live there...JDT...mendo...Tony...I have quickly...

There is also a "ruler" if you will, for u-joint sizing. I didn't send your stuff today....sorry....I think I have a bonus one in my box at work, or, if I don't, i'll photo copy it. It is a Spicer thing, and it tells you what series the joint is.
I think the clearance is .015 top and bottom. Mine squeal when cold. I thought they were worn, but they look good from the inspection cover. I just do a couple of stops, and the squeal stops. The drums are probably glazed a bit.
RE: M105
There are 10-15 at Barstow and they all have the same doors, shackles at the center of the roofs, front and back, ramp lookin' thing and what look like they were shelves?? They all look the same. No numbers that I can see/read to see who they were assigned to.
