RE: Got wood A respectable load. Cutting wood is a respectable job for young men. It will teach them respect and the benifits of having good equipment. Lee in Alaska

Uneventful M35 towed recovery with M818 (pics)

I thoroughly agree with the above - Especially with tight turns, no telling where the steering tires will go. The extra driver could do a lot to minimize wear & tear on the turns. Is that an air line running back there to the towed? Lee in Alaska

    Bouncing Speedometer

An old failing speedo cable is at the root of the problem. Replace the inside cable. If you use grease, it should be light stuff. Lee in Alaska

    M37 Hardtop

My M37 is a 1951 & it came with a Hardtop - an early one of course. It had some wooden spacers & trim around the door windows. I recently replaced it with a later "60's" hard top. All the holes/fastening places were the same, and the door windows fit the newer top, perfectly. The new top used...

    Seals and Snow

The block heater is the best. 1500 watts will do it. If you silicone a small heat pad to the pan ( about 200 watts will do it), it will also warm you oil. Have a dual connector, so when you plug one in, both are on. I run 15w40 Delo year round. the ether start won't do it. You should put enough...

    Transmission Blues

Did you refill the transmission & top it off, after the PTO installlation? I have'nt had that one apart, but on the earlier ones. the input/output shaft is split & there is a pocket bearing with needle roller bearings inside it. With improper lubrication, they starve for lube. Along with other...

    Deuce pu a success

All those places have "Base Commanders". I have yet to see one, that would not take a few minutes to talk with a civilian that was having problems on his Turf. If you take the time to go find Headquaters, you won't get too far inside, politely explaining your problems, before finding that there...

    Which oil do you use?

RE: Re: RE: Which oil do you use? Delo, 15-40, year round. If its cold, put enough heat on it till the oil will drip off the dip stick. I run it in everything. Deuce, John Deere tractors, Transport truck, Lexus, Toyota. Lee in ALaska
