Okay...if, let's say, the 3053 has the #3, then my CAT has a #2 because it was just a little larger pattern. I did a drawing on AutoCad of the different SAE patterns and plotted it out 1:1 scale. I took that and layed it over the stock adapter plated and center punched the #2 pattern then...
I'm thinking of double plating the little wing thingers that go out from the frame to the bumper to reinforce it then plopping a vise on that. I've also been toying around with cutting the main flat front facing plate out of a slightly twisted spare deuce bumper I have and stitching it to the...
I've got a set of the singles pictured on the truck above too. They were on my red parts deuce...lemme see if I can find a pic...

I'd run 5/8" wire core cable. I'll have to measure to see how many feet I have on mine winch. It's a bunch. What you DON'T want to do is fill the spool full of cable. Do that and you have no place for the cable to go it it stacks up on one side. I've seen a 10,000# Garwood have the bottom...
If you back peddle from that formula you get about 360 for torque...and that ain't right. That calculation doesn't take into consideration displacement. I can't find any torque numbers on my 1160/3208 CAT V8 either. I know it's 636 cubes, 225hp, 5" stroke, so I figure I ought to be in the mid...
Yeah, they're around 40" tall with a wider footprint. Talked to Dave Newman at Eastern Surplus and he told me that they have wedged 1400x20 NDT's onto stock deuce wheels but they had to use the forklift to compress the sidewall enough to get the ring on and once inflated had the center bulged...
UH...I was down at Saturn talking to Mark a month or so ago and he had a set of 1250x20 XL that he was sitting on to put on some 'A3 wheels. The 'A3 wheel is HUGE compared to the 12.50 XL. I'm no expert, but to me, it looked like the 12.50's would fit nicely on a stock wheel where they'd be...
Don't think they'll clear each other in the rear. Michelin 1400x20's are 48's and they don't make it. The 15.5/80r20 or 395/85R20's seem to be the largest to fit in the rear.
Damn good price on those 48x14's though! I'll keep that in mind when I cut the back off of one of these.
Anyone slap in an Aux-box? I've seen some auxillary transmission, Spicer has a couple with great ratios, that would swap in with the T-case moved back a lil. Another under drive, an overdrive too. Not bad.
Hey Bob, I've got the early 1160/3208 Industrial version, non turbo 225hp has a rear sump pan and I got it right back at the firewall and everything clears...barely. Oh, you may need to just 'touch' the frame to make the starter clear depending on where you mount it. With just 225hp, there's a...
