Driveshaft capture loops were required back in my Longhorn Speedway days, I assume they still are in the racing world. A lot of racers made them from chain so ground clearance was not an issue.

I got my Deuce insured today through State Farm, $47 for 6 months, it's registered as a "Texas Former Military Vehicle" (like "Antique Auto" registration)
The thread on the brass nut in that photo is 3/4-20, that is my problem. Is the thread on the filter side of that elbow NPT? If so that may give me the answer, just change the elbow.

No go at the tax office today! I went away with several forms to fill out and have notarized. Because the SF97 is issued from Florida I needed to have the numbers verified by the APD Vehicle Theft Interdiction unit. Everything will come together, but not today!
