Sounds like you may have a few sailboats around your area, have you tried a sail repair shop?
Ebay has them at times and there are places like Beachwood canvas but I've never used them. Good Luck, Wayne
parts
Except for the fact that those trucks didn't belong to them either. :(
BTY I wouldn't have told that on a open forum and in thread that G/L could read. Federal crimes are serious. Wayne

Reading their "conditions" will tell a lot. written by a lawyer, I imagine. Wayne

I demil the last 8 M151A2 the DRMO sold at Fort Stewart and if you worked in their yard you had to have the general liability insurance. Only lots that had to be worked on or demil required that clause. I also used the same policy when I bought a salvage lot thru DRMO at Townsend Bombing...

You are the only that has said anything "car insurance" Wayne

Mine was just for personal use and I still had to buy the policy. I had a friend that did major electrical work on base and had a policy like that but because of the classification issues I couldn't even use his.
Each type of job has a classification, I had be listed as a mechanic. Good...
I was checking out G/L rules on loading stuff and saw this.
"G/L Terms and Condition Item 84. Where we indicate the Property must be loaded by the Buyer, you must provide all material handling equipment (MHE) and properly trained and certified operators to operate the equipment. Additionally...
tire
Welcome, What kind of stories are you hearing? Most any 16 in. tires will fit on a 16 in. wheel. Finding someone to work on a lock ring (if that is what you have) might be a bit harder but not impossible. Wayne
rims
If your rims are in goog shape AND will hold air it shouldn't be a problem, your tire man will be able to tell.
You will need to check for fender clearance and frame scrubbing on any larger size tires. Wayne

And just WHO do you think will end up paying for it??
Might for a regular business but G/L buy this for way little money, sells it, then pays expensives and gives the goverment a cut of whats left.
Selling all as scrap would be less expensive for them.
It could go like this.

Well not quite but what about a 50.00 paint job? Check the link below and about halfway down. Might not work on MV but any money saved on your civilian car or truck can then be spend on your MV. wayne

Westech Did you ever hear of " One Man's Junk is Another Man's Treasure" nothing wrong in wanting anything "as issued" and wouldn't call anyone silly for asking. Wayne
TM
The one in the library has a few pages missing. I don't know if they were blank to start with or was just missed while being copied. I have the page numbers that I found missing. If anyone can check, pm me and I'll send the list. TIA, Wayne
m1009
Welcome! The M1009 is a good choice for a first MV. It's a very basic chevy truck with little or no soundproofing and none of other little extras we love on our daily drivers.
It will do 70 with no problem but with no soundproofing and the gearing, it going to sound loud, so slower speeds...
insurance
Driver licence, registration and insurance card is all I carry. I also have a copy of the receipt for wharever I'm picking up. But it will be best to check on-line about the base you are going to. Wayne
trailer
Nope not at any base or for that matter any place I've been. There is cargo insurance and wrecker have insurance for their loads but nothing a gate guard would check for. Wayne
claim
Well it's nothing new.I remember a thread when I first join this list about a member picking up a Forestry truck (Deuce) from a GSA sale. When he got there truck was in bad shape, rotten brake line, parts missing and so forth. He told of the guys there "allowing" him to take parts off of...
