It would still have to match the number on the frame, wouldn't it? I don't see it as a big deal. And while it is a different type of VIN, most used cars dealers on the net have the VIN showing so you can run a CARFAX on it. Wayne

I guess sometimes it better not to know things, :) I've used my M151A2 to crank the M816.
If there is nothing wrong with it you can just pull it off, I've pull started M35A2s in less than 10 feet.
And if you are not going though in the middle of rush hour traffic you could just tow it...

I don't know of any military source for that size, you could check MV magazine there may be some there. Tire shop may charge 30.00 and up ea. for changing.

Any tire shop will have tires if you have the lock-ring type rims you may need to find a larger tire or truck shop to change them or buy some tire tools. Wayne

You'll need to size them according to your weather, the colder it get the more amps you need. Your battery shop can tell you, then shop around for the best price. Wayne

Back in the day when I was there the only ones that got worked on was the student vehicles or the instructor "friends" either way there was a long waiting list.
You may try the local Chevy dealer and see if one of the mechanic there does after hours work. Wayne
