Now you are talking apples and oranges. 16 AA straped together would would be a 24v battery but not enough amps to turn a engine over but that is how they do some cordless plone batteries, they just strap AA batteries together to get whatever volts they need and then tape them. Wayne
Depends on how you look at it, with the dogbone installed they are 24v battery. After all a 12v battery is just 6 2v batteries (straped together). Wayne

I use two 12 vdc chargers hooked up (one to each battery) and I don't disconnect any wiring. Works for me. Here is two good sites to read and form your own opinion.

The sending unit is a variable resistor that must have a good ground. The M1009 has a wire (at the tank) to ground, not sure about the M1008 but if it doesn't have a wire it would be grounded by the tank itself, but either way try a jumper to a known good ground to the wire or tank.

Military HMMWV wheels will not work without the spacers. I don't know what the offset is for H1 wheels. Why not just try one on the front and see if you have problems? Wayne
Sarge, Have you asked the G/L guy/gal at the base if they have a list of local shippers ? Back in the DRMO days, they used to keep a list of someone local that would do small shipments like yours. Wayne
