So looks like I have 2 choices. I can call up Mac Motors and complain that they shipped the wrong one, or I can do some grinding and welding to move the flat part to the rear. Third option I suppose is use this one as a pattern and make one.
This bracket is the last piece I needed to install...
note to add about the bracket, the picture in the manual shows the vertical flat portion facing the rear, not the front like it looks when installed in my truck, so I'm leaning towards having received the incorrect bracket.
After I figured out exactly what I was doing I was planning on taking pictures with measuring devices to make it easier for the next poor sod who tries to do this.
I've only found a couple threads that have had useful information, mostly over on G503.com, along with this gallery...
Yes, I will get to that once I know everything actually fits in there how it's supposed to. I'm hesitant to just start hacking holes in the fender when there's a small chance this won't work/gets screwed up/I go insane first.
So the pictures I see of this bracket installed shw the angled reinforcement part that sticks down towards the rear of the truck.
the bracket I received has the flat angled portion facing the front.
Can someone confirm the one I have is correct or did I possibly get sent the wrong side?
If...
So another question for those that have worked with these condensers.
How does it get sealed against the fender? I originally thought it would be right up against the outside of the fender, but now realizing that isn't going to happen, so wondering what is used to seal up that space so it...
okay, it was pointed out to me that the one vent just goes to the fuel tank and stuff.
On my truck the line going to the air filter housing has a little bit of a kink in it, there is always the chance there is something blocking your vent line.
Mine has the fording kit, so I can't verify everything.
Pretty sure though that there are two separate vent systems on this thing.
Reason I say this is there is one vent line that does run to the air filter housing inlet (not the one to the restriction gauge) and a second vent line that goes...
Yup, it's all about knowing what you are doing, and taking your time.
I remember in the Army one time out at a range center, I got to drive the back road to see if the fuel HEMTTs would be able to make it. (Rodrigues Range center for anyone who's been to Korea)
I decided to drive around the...
Depending on where the other end of the lines go to. I would expect everything in the system to be sealed except for the end of the vent that's actually supposed to be open to atmosphere, i.e the actual vent portion. If you're blowing in from the vent tube then there are no other paths for the...
It's an automatic transmission, so it's designed to allow some slippage until it's locked up at cruising speeds. The only thing to worry about the engine is overheating it if you're doing it too long too hard, but a couple minutes in the snow is well within design specs of everything.
There is also a year separation between the A1 and A2 trucks compared to the civvy versions. I think it was 95 and older is A1, 96 and newer is A2 components (where it actually makes a difference)

Read the above article for some information about how the drive system on these actually works.
Short answer though, power will always take the path of least resistance. if one side has less traction than the other, and starts spinning...
There is the chance your had convoy lights or something like that on it. Definitely not one I ever saw before though.
you'll have to trace wires to figure it out.
I think the thing behind the passenger seat you're referring to is the circuit breaker for the transmission control module.
No idea what the one by the driver's door is.
