I saw 2 of those painted tan driving around the Ft Riley DRMO area (not actually in DRMO but on the roads surrounding the area) I really wanted to follow and get pics but I dont feel like getting jacked-up by the MP's. I still get an un-easy feeling when Im just driving around post and looking...
Hmmmm what code are you using? I have the 2005 code book and it does not have those sub articles or what ever you call them All the 2005 has is a simple 702.5 I would say find out what code year they are under. Some cities are behind by a few years and have not adopted the latest codes...
Strong and HEAVY! Like stated above unless you plan on wheeling the snot out of it (serious hardcore rock crawling stuff) I wouldnt do it. either way you'll want to change the brakes to a disc set-up, need new custom rims, plus a whole lot of other mods to get them to work right.
Edit: now...
No he is still wrong. 702.5 states that the transfer system shall be suitable for the intended load. and that the user of the standy by system shall be permitted to select the load connected to the system.
In other words the OP can tell the inspecter he only intends to run a fridge and the...
It is not necessarily GL that pulls the guages.
I drove my Deuce home from OK to KS with no oil pressure registering on the guage. (bad ground) Would I drive one with the whole cluster missing? Maybe, depending on how far and wether or not I had previoulsy driven the truck. Straight out of...
Hmmmm I have one parked out by the road identical to yours. Its got some rust in the box but has a new cover and I have $600 on it.
To SS members the dump thing is no big deal, all 101's can be set up to dump fairly cheaply and same thing with the lights. But get some unsuspecting person who...
Now that I re-read your post and looked at the pic again I see what your saying. Thanks I will add that to the list of things to take care of before this goes back on the road.
Guess that means I need new shoes too.
The brake is released. Im in the middle of bobbing the truck and have the frame up on jack-stands, and yes, I did chock the front wheels (both in front of and behind the front wheel) as it is only about 4 feet from my garage door. I had to let the brake off so I could spin the t-case to remove...
:ditto: and if they ask what kind of truck and you tell them and they say no. Get your truck and get a lawyer before they amend the rules so the 1ton fords and such can stay but not your deuce. They've already set precedence (sp?) by selectively enforcing the rules.
Good job. I like the flex line in the brakes. I had thought of putting one in and just cutting the hard line back to make it work but I think I like your idea of looping it. No need to cut and re-flare the hard lines
