Suggestions for a Keyed ignition switch for my new Deuce

When I got my first deuce, it had no mil switch, just a generic iginition switch in its place. So I went to Auto zone and picked up a new one for like $5.00 and replaced the old one and it worked fine. I don't think it carries a lot of current.

So tell me about the M246 wrecker/tractor

So does the Mack ENDT bolt up the the 5 speed tranny without any adapters? 1 MPG does not sound like something I want to sink money into. What trucks have the Mack engine or where could I find one? Still figuring out how much this truck would cost to get it up and running

So tell me about the M246 wrecker/tractor

Its #3, the 602 gasser. Went and took pictures but my computer is giving me fits trying to download them here so I will try tomorrow. The old mans son came up when I was taking pictures and told me a little more about it. The rear axle brakes are frozen so it doesn't roll but he said he would...

So tell me about the M246 wrecker/tractor

Kenny, thanks for the info. I thought gas engines didn't have alot of torque compared to the multifuel/diesels? when I Googled for the M246 one hit showed a 602 gas engine so maybe thats what this has. How far out would it boom? I was thinking about starting a crane service with this truck...

So tell me about the M246 wrecker/tractor

While taking the kids to soccer practice the other day, I say what looked to be like a military truck\wrecker sitting in a field. Asked around a little and got the guys name who owned the property and trucks. So I called him up and asked him about it and he gave me the "ran when parked' story...

    Khilding's Great New Adventure

I was figuring on making a two day trip out of it. Spend one day to get to Needles by the river -California/Arizona border, then another day to get to New Mexico. If I average around 50- 55 MPH it will take me about 16 hours with no problems.

COOL! I found a really goood mix for WVO fuel

From my readings over on the other forum, the reason viscosity was such a big deal was due to the fact that the injection pumps cant handle something with a low viscosity( thick fluid). Not sure about the IP on a multifuel. No need to get upset about this, just wanted to get a little more info...

COOL! I found a really goood mix for WVO fuel

So how long did you filter the WVO for? What sort of filter - 5 micron? Hot or cold filter? I think once the "formula" is proven to work, this is definitely the way to go.

    M35 FROM OKLAHOMA TO MICHIGAN

Did you get any quotes from Uship.com? Were they reasonable or way out there? How many miles is it? My deuce is over 800 miles away and I was tossing around the idea of getting it shipped if it wasn't too much. Gas alone out there and back will be like $500 total!!

    Deuce Manufactures?

Just as a little history note - Kaiser-Jeep military division became AM General when AMC took over Jeep around 1970. They eventually split off and became the company that made the Humvee.

COOL! I found a really goood mix for WVO fuel

I just spend some considerable time over at:http://biodiesel.infopop.cc/groupee looking up the WVO/SVO blend information. There is a lot of good info about "blending" veggie oil and 87 octane unleaded gas with some octane booster/diesel additive. There are some good viscosity tests over there...
