Just back from vacation; the tarps were tan and green, I did use the tire bleach on a small area of a 3 color cargo cover and it worked fine, I sprayed the cover with a little water to dilute so not to dull the finish.
Fuzzy is spot on. Could not have said it better. I own both and drive them for different reasons. I enjoy working on both engine types. Deuce parts and tools are heavy , 5 ton tools and parts are real heavy. Just sold a good M813 to my neighbor, he loves it and I miss it already. At least me...
I got 2 sets of 6tl adapters for the red tops in my M35 from Milbatteries last year. They work real well, battery locks in place and prevents any side shifts. Fabbed a single cross bar strap with center hold down clamp. You'll be pleased.

Way to hang with it Brad, we knew you could do it. Man made machines can be fixed by man. Now you're the guy with the experience. Keep maintaining the truck and exercise her on a regular basis. It says something about a guy that can maintain his own equipment.
Congrats

Nice truck, good for you. Fiberglass racks and a winch. Clear her up and grease it real well. Look up the lube order for it, to many zerks can be missed. Check fluids and filters and try to keep it out of the weather and it will last forever.
Have fun

Nice score Warren, there were a lot of decent trucks in that sale. I had the map out and was real close to bidding, ended up sitting on the fence. How close are you to Shelby? For the future maybe.

RP, here is a shot of the Data Plate attached to the ring I have in storage, it does not contain a part number of the data plate itself. Strange, most plates have their P/N in the lower right corner. No other data plates were attached. JC.
I bought another set of HD jack stands. Going to put it in the air and run it when completed. I thought about that the first time, had visions of the truck vibrating off the stands and driving through the shop wall, down the hill and into the pond.
RP,
Sorry for the wait, wife called and schedule painters to do the interior, I had to drop everything and disassemble the house, still putting it back together. I'll get over to the other shop tonight.

Hey fellas,
Trans is still in the truck, I have recieved the service manuals, sling assemble, and fabricated the lifting adapter called out in the TM. (one big hunk of metal) waiting for the temps to drop here in KY, I hate sweating over my work. Denny has some good points, not sure of the...
One of my M813s served in Germany in the 90's. It was equipped with the extra lollipop turn signals. However the front of the lens were painted over w/ OD green and the light operation was only visable from a passing vehicle in the trucks blind spot.
I drive both in Kentucky, the M813 likes off road better. The M939s are easier to drive. M813 front grill has the look of, "get out of my way". Both are good units.
