it came without a front bumper. It has one on it now. I don't think tire clearance will be a problem. the military put 1600's on there 5 tons. so does Osh Kosh Equipment in WI. I have winch bumper on both trucks.

instead of triangles, just cut slots every few inches. My dad made a boat trailer with tube and cut 3 sides every 6 inches 5 times and the tube made a nice rounded curve. I think he just used a chop saw.
no, its all left to right (crossways).
zig-zag siping is suposed to be better. I have never confirmed this by tests I've done or read about. Like a lighting bolt. I would think that it would be extreamly hard to do by hand.

all the siping I have seen has alot more cuts than you have. I would add more cuts on the middle rib. Not sure what pattern to use though. I think the outer ones are fine.
