anyone ever add AC to a 1008? Vintage Air?

how fast do you guys go in the 1008? I was driving 55 and seems like the motor was screaming. I'm used to 2100 rpm's in a semi. so even 2600 seems like alot to me.

it is the kick down switch. I bypassed it and it shifts fine. Doesn't kick down. (I have to do it manually). I will check into it next week.this thing is geared so low, it doesn't seem like it even needs first gear.

no, Its not real clear how the light is switched on to show the axle is engaged. Your pic shows that the light has nothing to do with the engagment of the axle but only with wether air preasure is sent to the t-case to engage the front axle. I think your pic cleared it up. but don't worry, I...

my 1008 won't shift until the motor is wound up all the way. I changed the vacum shift controller and that didn't fix it. I felt for vacum on the tube hooked to the shift controller and I could barely feel it. What is my next step?

I think one of the levers say engage or disengage on it. I think it is for the crane or the winch.
