The drop side model has 4 pins holding hte troopseats/bows in. They are one on each corner. they rotate out to release from a retainer clip, then pull toward the center of the truck.
I suspect that you still have a head gasket problem. To get even more info, post the same thing on www.dieselplace.com You will get tons of answers there.

I suspect there is a version (maybe not this brand) out there, that would work great in the deuce, and function as an FRS radio as well.
Its a little more than 2 minutes...
basically you need to make sure to keep the wires connected that the switch activates in the up position.
(sounds to me like you have a shorted marker light wire.... check the bumpers)

Yeah, they make single phase, but not in the 'normal' sense. When you set the switch to 240 single phase, you have 240 volts to ground/neutral on ONE wire... If that makes sense...
