    Got any pics? GM never used a 14-bolt in the front. It didnt exist I dont think. If you can get a bunch of pics, I am sure we can tell you alot more.

    If its a 3/4 ton, its the 14-bolt FF. Agreed on the Dana 44 rear. I also suspect a TH400 tranny. You are right, the 6.2 didnt come out until 81.

    Rizzo, check the condition of the wires at the temp plug.... mine were in bad shape and pretty frayed, and could have been touching...

    Alas, clinto, while that might work some, I suspect its not going to work right. I can tell you when I do it behind the scenes, its a ROYAL PITA, so I avoid doing it. The name has to be changed in a couple of spots. I PM'd TXSG about the issue.

    Rizzo, I had mine fail as well. You can get them from www.flmv.net I have mine bypassed right now, they come on, every time you flip the key on.

    Actually the dash lense from a truck with guages will not work on the one with the lights. put them side by side, you will see ;-) there is no lens over the lights, while it goes over the guages.

    Rule # 1 when using alternative fuels..... Filter the crap out of your fuel first!! Rule # 2, be prepared for the bio-fuel to clean your fuel tank spotless (guess where all the junk goes!)

    Update on my lift install!

    I did this on an old truck of mine. all I needed to do, was make a bracket to go between the pumpkin, and the linkage, such that it moved it up equivalent to the left. I would suggest attempting to keep it. messing with brake design is usually a bad idea.

    RE: Put 1050 CA 875 CCA in mine but took some mods Honestly, for a CUCV, I would not use the 6tl's, they are huge, and heavy, and wreak havoc on the innerfender.
