    Deuce door

RE: duce door I have west coast mirrors. The top is a bolt that goes thru the mirror bracket and the bottom is the pin. The bolt isn't threaded into the hinge, it's just rusted in place. I can turn and tighten the nut, but the bolt turns and loosens the nut when the door is opened and closed...

    Fuel pressure

RE: Re: Fuel pressure Guess I need to look at the TM' t see how it flows! I was expecting 8-10 PSI max. Thanks guys. I had a 30-60 compound gauge hooked to it, thought I was gonna ruin my gauge!

    Fuel pressure

I did a service on the beast today, oil and filoters, fuel filters. Just for S&G, I put a QD fitting at the bleed fitting in the sec/final filter head. I got 30 PSI at idle and 63 at high idle! Is this normal?? How do you get more positive pressure form an in tank pump that isn't engine driven?

    primary filter help needed.

That depends on which filter you have. I got the one pictured above from Antelope Valley. The innards of the filter on my truck do not seal the ends, therefore, no filtering. I got the NAPA filter from the x ref list, and it seals fine.

RE: Re: RE: part# for coolant hose on intake? Yeah, they'll be as hard as a rock. I just went to look on the invoice from AVTE, and looks like Norm didn't charge me! Sorry, no number for ya. Memphis or Saturn will have them.

    primary filter help needed.

Yes, All the parts go under the filter. From the bottom up; Large washer, spring, small washer, rubber seal ring, (fits tight against the shaft), tin lookin' cup, small end down, (small end seals at the rubber seal, large end seals against the cork on the filter), then the filter. The top of the...

part# for coolant hose on intake?

It's just 2 inch wrapped hose. NAPA or a truck dealer, Pete, KW, Frtlnr, etc will have it. Remove the bolt for the support bar that runs between the fan and block, tilt the radiator forward, use soap or something to lube the hose, and slide it on. that's the easiest hose on the engine...

    HEMTT Title needed

Another avenue, Look for a local salvage yard, the kind that deals with police impounds. They have on site VIN verification people, they take an impounded vehicle, verify the VIN and give the vehicle a "new" clean, clear title. YOU will need to show them where the number you want on your title...

    cooling system maintenence

WooHoo! After a week or so, the Deuce is up and running! The radiator shop did a beautiful job on the radiator, asked them to try to save the paint, and they did. It was ultrasonicaly cleaned. It was 40% plugged and the lower neck was leaking. Ran some "Restore" through it after it was all...

    Napa Radiator Hoses

The lower hose listed isn't a NAPA. It's a Gates #. The NAPA number for the Gates number posted is 7372. It's just a flat 2 inch hose, formed at a little more than 90 degrees. I didn't like the way it fit, so I took the old hose to NAPA and the guy came out with an almost identical hose, but, it...
