Just do like the TM says and pull the bolts near where the tongue meet the springs and fold the tongue up. ( Not the bolts near the box that every one pulles to dump)
:ditto:The center latch does not hold the hood shut, the side latches secure it and the center latch is a secondary catch.
I have found out if you leave the vehicle parked anywhere for a length of time someone is going to look under the hood when the realize how easy it is to open, and they...
The 5 locks go to...........................................................My M818. Feel free to contact me for the shipping adress.
Nice score. As you can tell when most guys pick up their vehicles they are stripped clean.
Edit: In all reality I do need 5ton winch shear pin. Want...
I have seen some M101's with the rear leg. I have a M105 leg that I removed from a parted out trailer to use on my M101. Its not a simple bolt on swap. The rear cross member on a M105 is taller and the piece that bolts behind there has the little bar that the latch grabs onto to hold it up. That...
I just ran out to my deuce to take a look. My truck has both the round bar type (your picture) and the flat style. The 2 round bar ones are rivited on, the flat style are all bolted on with 1/4-20 bolts. I dont know if that helps or not I dont really want to drill out one of the rivets just to...

Did you notice this thread is 2 years old? I hope GL has cleared his EUC by now. :p
I think it was dug up to see if anyone had a copy of the Field Manual
Anything listed on GL, Government Surplus Auctions at Government Liquidation that they have listed at Ft. Carson. Its the online auction site for buying Govt surplus.
Have you called and asked about fridays? Here at Ft Riley its the same deal, tue. wed. thur. but they have let me pick up stuff on friday if I call and explain that I can only get friday off. If its just a trailer and you can just hook onto it and go they might let you do it on a friday.
Is that the one from Ft Riley? That was a Nice looking trailer.
Too bad I didnt know you were coming down for that. I have a M101 and 2 6.2 motors in cans that a fellow member from Mich. has stored at my place. I'm sure it would have fit in that trailer no problem.
If I remember right he got it up there in SD. Otherwise I would.
Lets see.... its a 11-12hr drive in the Liberty so in a deuce it will take....hmmmm like 3days
