Carnac,
I have several trucks I would like to get info on. My M35A3 was recovery from the AirForce/Wright Pat. Do they have to origninate from the Army?
JC
WM893,
Thanks, I got it out of the lot and idled over to a private lot and parked it with other MVs in waiting. It is next in line to be looked at by local diesel tech that works on the hurt MVs in waiting.
I'll keep you posted.

Bad oil cooler results in oil in coolant, not coolant in oil. (high press oil will displace lower pressurized water system), I wish it was an oil cooler (easy fix). You're problem could be a failed/clogged injector. When one goes it does make a racket. Valves normally stick or sieze right...
Pawn shop idea is a good one. They're at the front gate of the bases I've been to. Also., there were no prohibited warnings posted at the civilian entry posts/ check stations, and I've been to several bases, several times.
Gents,
I have a M931 sitting in Indy with coolant in the oil, low mileage and very clean. Engine starts and pressures good. Looking for ideas to fix it. What is the likelyhood of head gasket on the NHC 250, maybe cracked sleeve. I'm 100 miles from the truck and trying to line up a mech to...
Applied the " don't ask, don't tell policy at Frot Cambell, Fort Knox, and Wright Pat. Concealed weapon remained in truck and had no issue. No profibited warnings or notices at any type at the base check in facility. A long drive home with no self defence is a little scary.
Welcome Bob,
These trucks are fun to work on, if you like working on vehicles. Do a little research and pick a truck or jeep that fills the bill. Lots of parts and support out there.
Join the MVPA, great group, lots of contacts

Randy,
Looking for the same. I have a M931A1 with coolant in the oil. I have a number for a Cummins rep, if I get any charts/diagrams I'll forward to you.

Welcome from Kentucky,
M813A1, a real 5 ton. Great truck, it will do anything except fly. Make sure it has a fresh service and fresh fuel. Have fun.

Larry,
Welcome. I'm a new member also, Lou.KY. My wife is from Franklin, still have in laws there. Think historic military vehicle for KY registration. Should not be a problem. Farm tag is another option if your truly qualify as "farm". I have a nice M813A1 for sale, just cleaning it up a...
Frioman,
Congrats on making it home. I have been repairing and maintaining large equipment (aircraft, farm, and now my MVs) my whole career. Machinery does have it's own personality.
Your truck will take care of you if you take care of it. I tell all my trucks that thrie retirement will be an...
Well done, nice unit. Myself and a bud are headed to Indy on Wed. to recover 2ea M931A1s. (one tan, one green) Going to drive them back to Kentucky. Making a list of supplies as we speak. Will post pictures once I figure that out. I'm a better mechanic than IT guy.
