    Slowest deuce restoration ever

The winch in pic#4 looks to be ready for final assembly? On that adjusting rod I'm missing the counter nuts. Also, it seems the threaded ends are too short for extra nuts? Maybe your's is a different version of what I have seen so far...? Anyone else??? :? G.

    m35a3 Master Cylinder

Read here and you will know exactly what it is; what it does; and why the brakes WILL lock up if the pushrod is adjusted too long... (Honda or M35, same effect...) G.

    M35A2C master cylinder failure?

Well, guess he meant the one who decided to use THAT master cylinder for THAT application... Obviously referred "Junior" grew up; realized that his creation wasn't that user-friendly and only a few years later came up with the remote reservoir, in the M35A3...;-) Oifvet: glad you solved...

    Brake hose failure...new hose!

... and if you ever wondered what a good, DOT-certified brake hose assembly has to be able to resist... read this I.e., I didn't figure they should withstand a steady pull of 325lbs or more, without coming apart! Or that a common size 3/16", at room temperature, is supposed to resist 5000 psi...

    SAE or Metric???

At least you have a good idea of what 10cm is.......:p No worries, in our metric world wheel diameters still are made to inches... and even the best metric sockets are all SAE sized square drives - and probably will remain that way...;-) G.

Transfer Case Mounts & High Range Pop-out

:ditto: The lever moving up-down a "few inches" is a lot of inertia! The bolts in the bushings are shouldered, so you cannot over-compress them (or re-tighten the assembly, in this case). But you could always make a few rubber washers, cut out from inner tube or so, to supplement the...

    Brake hose failure...new hose!

Hey Jürgen, for Safety's sake!, I would replace all other hoses from that same batch, NOW...!!! Also, maybe you could tell us YOUR source, so we know where NOT to buy our new replacement brake flex hoses.... ? Man soll ja den Teufel nicht an die Wand malen...:-) G.

    PS mag: wheel chocks?

Sure NOT the ones you are looking for... but these are Mil-spec and designed to work well even on difficult surfaces like ice and paved roads with loose gravel on it. Good for ideas at least, to make your own... Approx. size: 16"x 10"x 9"h G.

    Winch Teardown Q

That's a joke, or...? 5/8" = .625", so your's would be perfectly OK for what they have to hold... G.

    Winch Teardown Q

That's correct. Exact length is 5/8" minus 0.03" (for the assembled external star lock washer) G. Hey, every M35W/winch-owner could respond that Q... they are just a bit lazy...!

    M35A2C master cylinder failure?

I don't see how this could be caused by the airpack, with no air pressure left. But I could imagine a malfunctioning MC, with the reservoir(s) topped off and spitting out some excess fluid via that vent line, when the pedal is pushed all the way down. G.

    M35A2C master cylinder failure?

No personal experience here, with the dual circuit system trucks... But you should have access to this TM at least: SMARPI 9-2320-209-14&P (attached, below...) Admin: I just checked our Deuce TM-section; could we have this one listed, please? G.

    M35A2C master cylinder failure?

..... its probably time for a rebuild. But first pull the guts out; then you will know what happened... ;) Rebuild kits are available, relatively cheap; not sure about their quality, though. NOS replacement MC are out there and not overly expensive, either. The fun part of removing the MC...

    Transfer Case

:funny: Hahaha.... wish that was the case, Tom. Most often I only know that at some time I knew the answer. And I have to admit that it isn't always easy to find even my own posts... Good thing is that we always have the Google button also, for everything that wouldn't come up with the...

    Transfer Case

Short response: YES - for the gears... And...... I DID SEARCH........ and found (just some of the x-many) posts answering your Q.: #3; #6; #18; #25 Also, if you look up TM9-2520-246-34P, fig.8 & fig.9, pages 31/32 + 14/15, you can confirm that yourself. G.

Well, maybe your's is; but not a dozen or so I have here. And I would bet, anyone else's are hardened, as well. You took the risk - best of luck, then...! G.
