Need help with brakes M35A2 in Austin, TX

Well you need to figure out where the fluid is going first. If it's not a wheel cyl or the Master cylinder, my gut says air pack. I believe if it's leaking internally you can pull the NPT fitting out and confirm the bypass. I have never had that problem though, hopefully someone who has can...

Need help with brakes M35A2 in Austin, TX

Check the inside of each wheel for a leaking wheel cylinder-leak should be obvious. If there aren't any and no leak at the master cylinder it is probably leaking internally from the airpack. You will probably find the leak though. You bled it at the air-pack first right?

Need help with brakes M35A2 in Austin, TX

Was the system bone dry or was there fluid in the system? Did it work before? Did you use a pressure bleeder or do it the old fashioned way? There aren't any visible leaks right (aren't losing fluid)? I couldn't get mine to bleed right without the power bleeder.

    Recovery Time.....

Did you look around for trucking companies? $800 per truck seems way high for 260 miles. I had the M59 hauled from south Florida to 50 miles NW of Atlanta for less than that.

    Opportunity knocks***

Well, i'll go against the crowd. I had a complete kit, a spare ring, and 32 of the reinforcement plates. I had about 1K in it all. I was really ready to install it till I actually saw how massive the M66 ring is. My dropside cab is perfect and I just couldn't see risking cracking it. (yeah, I...

Out with the old - in with the new!

Well gimp, my answer to that would be that there are ALOT of people volunteering to help and nothing is heard back. Also, I am guessing we are talking 5 people or so at best a day which would take seconds for one mod to make sure the info is correct before approving. Next comment.... Just...

Out with the old - in with the new!

So why not make all new members be "approved" by a MOD. They could check that all the info is correct before becoming a member? Also, the helicopters are Charcoal not Black.:cookoo:

I went junkyard diving yesterday in the M1009 and found some Jeeps!

The yard in La Grange is the one I was thinking too. Pretty good sized but they are just rusting away.

    Converting to dual alternators

Didn't the HMMVV have a dual 24/12 V alternator? If so, wouldn't you be able to just bolt on with the brackets? Looks good though DUG.[thumbzup]
