ya. commercial trailers do sit high in the front. I just barely missed taking out a bride on friday. I was pulling a 53' and I came upon a 14' 4" bride and I was 14' 6". I was doing 70mph and by the time I slid to a smoking stop I was 3 ft...
146's hit big time. I have pulled lots of commercial 53's and they all clear. seems that the short sones are out unless you limit your turns. long ones seem to be good.
you have to find and fix the leak. putting a band air on my using a pump will only show signs of the problem and not fix it. now if you used pressure on the system and didnt find any leaks then the pump or injectors could be be. leaky injector or worn pump.

the only instruction sheet I got with my kit we have talked about was the one with the heater unit. if you need it I can scan it for you. it has details abut mounting positions and testing and such.
as the others have said if you don't have proof of insurance, tag and registration your not getting on.
And when you pull up to the gate without one of these items and you cant provide it the MP's will be called and you Will be getting multiple tickets. Ask me how I know.
I think one thing thats important to note is that most ppl on this site add atf or WMO to the tank to provide another source of fuel, not to use it as an additive as I believe he suggests in this post.
bottom line is that this stuff(diesel) is getting outta site and I'll pour in my tank...
the only thing you need to be careful of is the asbestos thats in the used ATF. some of it will make it's way into the inj pump and I'd guess over time it will wear out the pump plunger or make it stick rendering your truck dead.
FWIW I run lots of the stuff in my trucks with no ill effects...
