All the parts you mentioned are readily available both on the internet and direct from Ambac. You can pretty much find everything on ebay , amazon and other internet sites.
Here's a few more PN's incase anyone is missing parts for your air filter housing. I was missing an end cap and best I could find was a used housing assembly for $100+ after a little research I found the housings and parts from Donaldson are still available new on Amazon, Ebay and the internet...
If you physically close the fuel shut off lever by hand and she keeps running you probably have an issue with either the governor, the fuel rack or a metering pump.
I had an LPW2 with the same issue recently. It turned out to be a problem with the lever arm that the fuel solenoid attaches to...
Yes, definitely looks like it was cross threaded at some point, but seems to thread on easily and the tank fitting threads look fine. Maybe the Female threads in the hose end got mangled. Everything is original as far as lines and fittings and after further testing last night the problem seems...
Are you kind of low on fuel in the tank, or is the machine have a"low fuel" warning on? Sounds like you have other electrical control issues going on, but low fuel warning will also shut you down ( on the smaller machines at least )
That is what it appeared to be. hopefully I'm not saying this prematurely, but I think I may have solved it last night. The " oddly crooked looking " fitting where the suction line attaches to the fuel tank had a slight wet stain around it, so I gave it a little more "inward persuasion", then...
Correct, I know all about the droop adjustment and tried it, but this isn't a droop issue, its not lagging under load or hunting at all, its a split second mis-fire then quick recovery.
Hello guys, I know this is a very old thread, but I'm wondering your thoughts on a similar issue I'm seeing on an 002A I fired up for the first time last night.
I did all the filters, flushed it all out and put in fresh fuel with some seafoam and ATF.
Unit is very clean with only 8 hours on it...
I've used a few of the Faria Euro Black gages, but some of the readily available , cheap ones need an $11 voltage adapter board , or just wire in a 100 ohm resistor ( in the case of the oil gage) into the +24 to drop it to 12V. Might be worth the extra money to just get gages designed for 24V...
All 4 lots of LPW4 motors that sold over the last couple weeks were all used / cores. ( that's not to say they won't run ) They were not new or rebuilds. I was bidding on them as well, but like Smokem joe said, It would be nice to have a few, but I don't need 11 or 13 of them. I would however...
In addition to the turbo size you used, can you give any detailed info on what you need to do to the fuel system to support the extra power of the turbo install? I've got a couple extra LPW2's and always thought of converting my log splitter, but why not throw on a turbo too. I have an extra...
Not to go too far back into this discussion, but if you are going to stock up on filters, check RockAuto.com there are dozens of compatible oil filters, available for as little as $1.50 ea. if you do some creative searching you can find tons of options. You can also get Wix for about $4. They...
Whenever you guys buy spare pumps to keep on-hand for emergencies, make sure you check your inlet/outlet location and fitting sizes to be sure you won't need any adapters/fittings to make the pump fit. Depending on which style pump you are replacing, the inlet and outlets may be reversed and...
I have used 3 or 4 of the 8.5" senders on the 803's. The float is very close to rubbing on the side of the step down portion of the tank, so I made a plastic ring slightly larger than the float diameter to press onto the very bottom of the rod to prevent the float from touching the side of the...
When you dig into the pump there's a good chance you will find that the "dogbone" ( I forget the real name ) is split open and will need to be replaced.
If so, it's relatively easy and the part is available directly from Ambac. If you need the schematics or timing instructions, they are...
Flywheel cover bolt on an 803?? not sure what bolt you are referring to. Can you post a pic of where you are talking about? Are you talking about the bellhousing to engine block bolts?
Try cleaning / exercising the AC selector switch. I also just had an 003A with a bad gage. It would peg itself up over 100% with only a 50% load, turned out to be a bad gage, but this gage would also bounce around wildly under little to no load, so that was a good indicator....
Last possibility...
