    MEP-803A Outlets have no power.

Check the GFCI breaker itself and see if the reset button is popped out. If its popped out and will not stay in when pressed, try removing the outlet itself and disconnect the neutral or the ground. Cover the exposed wire and try it again. I just had one with some sort of problem inside the...

So I called Faria Beede today...

Check the ring terminal on the bottom of oil pressure sensor, see if the wire is broken. If that looks ok, check the wires on the back of the gauge, see if one is broken.

So I called Faria Beede today...

L.I.T.D, may I ask what's wrong with your oil pressure gauges? by chance are they pegged all the way left? if so, take the gauge out of the panel, loosen the nuts on the back and tap the gauge body against the palm of your hand to try to knock the needle loose. Because these are voltage...

MEP-8xx in White Ford RT 495 Massachusetts

Sounds like L.I.T.D is referring to me... We were both at Letterkenny the other day but unfortunately I didn't realize it was him. (Sorry man! ) :shrugs: Guess I was pre-occupied with getting loaded and underway. I've got a white SD, but haven't had one inside the bed since Sept. All the others...

Terminal size connectors on coolant temp switch

A little trick I learned was to strip the wire twice as long as normal, fold the stripped section in half and twist it, then insert it into the connector and crimp. That way you have twice as much wire inside the crimp area when you're using terminals that are meant for a larger diameter wire...

Terminal size connectors on coolant temp switch

If you need these in a hurry you can get them from pretty much any auto parts store as well as Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart... etc. they are sometimes referred to as .250" Female Faston connectors. Usually sold color coded based on the wire gage they accept. the Red ones fit good on the small...

    MEP-802/803 fuel return improvements

I didn't notice the length of the hose you guys bought on Amazon, but I've been buying it in 15' rolls on ebay for $30 and free shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/5-Meter-Roll-Continental-German-3-5mm-Fuel-VacuumHose-Orange-Stripe-Diesel-TDI-/132214703557?hash=item1ec89c45c5

    Missing handle on a M116A3? (PU-797 recovery)

Nice, Glad you made it home safe, it was nice to meet you as well. We got loaded up and all chained down , then realized I had negative tongue weight on the trailer, ( borrowed trailer from my brother and he warned me that it has an odd wheelbase that's difficult to balance ) had to have the...

MEP803a looses all compression. Lifter Problem?

Do the valves move freely ( try moving them by setting up a pry bar and a fulcrum to push on the valve tip ) or are they binding up in the valve guides? If you bought that one in PA last week ( or maybe it was the week before ) I saw the video and my first thought was that the valves are...

    Gov planet 803a price.

Dunno... I know some of the Islands are expected to be without power for up to a year because their entire electrical infrastructure was demolished. Being that GA is the closest to the Florida ports, I bet the high dollar units in GA are being shipped places in the USVI. GA also has mostly low...

    Missing handle on a M116A3? (PU-797 recovery)

Good luck with your recovery L.I.T.D! I'll probably be heading there late Sunday night to pick up 2 of mine. I've always had them delivered in the past, but prices recently went way up on delivery, so this is my first trip to Chambersburg myself! Gonna try putting both on a tag-along car trailer...

    Gov planet 803a price.

I hear ya... I sold 5 of mine in the past month, all 100% tested, serviced ready to go. Now I'm having trouble winning a single auction to buy a replacement gen for myself! By the time I buy it, pay the fees and get it to my house, I'll be into it for more than I sold the good ones on trailers...

    MEP-802a best practices

I recently had a couple 802's that had 1/2" wire mesh, for like building animal cages, screwed over all the air vents and openings ( don't forget the ones on the bottom ) to help keep mice out. You also need to secure the boot where the AC wires enter. Even that will probably only help, but not...

    A not-so-funny story (hz)

To complicate matters even more... take a look at the pictures of the $3900 one in TX... I've never owned 400hz machine, thank God!, but it looks like the pic shows a 60hz frequency meter on the control panel.

MEP-803A Pegs fuel gage all the way down past empty.

Cool, I think I'm going to go that route on the next one I get with a bad sender. Hopefully the resistance range is the same as the stock sender.

MEP-002a poor performance under load test

Try checking the throttle linkage bar going to the side of the IP. I have an 003A that the military painted and the thick layer of paint has frozen up the sliding section of the linkage and it would bog at around 5KW ( 50% rated load ) after freeing up the linkage it will now pull 14KW all day...

MEP-803A Pegs fuel gage all the way down past empty.

Cool thanks. Pretty sure that's the same one I saw that they say is available at NAPA and Amazon.

MEP-803A Pegs fuel gage all the way down past empty.

I just got done fixing one of my MEP-803A's that was randomly pegging the fuel gauge all the way to the left. It was pegged down when I bought it, so I swapped in a known good gage out of another 803' and it seemed fine. I load tested the machine for about an hour, then shut it down. Next time I...

    Fuel gauge sending unit

Sorry guys, I googled my genny fuel gage problem and didn't realize this wasn't in the Auxiliary equipment section.... :cookoo: My bad... I'll go look in the right section now!

    Fuel gauge sending unit

cybindustries, did you ever figure out what was wrong with your fuel gage that was pegging below E ? I have 2 machines doing the same thing, an 803 and an 802. I know that the problem is being caused by the sensor wire's circuit going open at the gage, but haven't had time to test anything yet...
