Secondary air pressure low, Keep burning up head gaskets

The ctis is designed to shut down under 110 psi so as not to drain the air system. The unloader valve in the compressors head can get stuck and cause the compressor to over work. Rebuild kits are available for around 45 bucks. I had to do this with 2 trucks but I have never had other compressor...

Secondary air pressure low, Keep burning up head gaskets

Looks like excessive heat from the pic. If it were me I would replace the entire compressor and make sure oil is circulating properly thru it. Check your governor and air dryer expello valve. If the expello valve has a small continuous leak it can cause the compressor to over work.

    Fixing Out of round Tires

There is an elusive diagnostic pigtail cable that connects between the controller and harness for pc access. I believe the pc software is downloadable online. Many parameters can be adjusted. The pigtail cable was part of an update kit that included a newer revision controller and some other...

Anyone bid on "sealed bid" auctions?

I love the sealed bids. I have gotten lots from the sealed bids for next to nothing and I have seen the identical items go for thousands at open bid auction.

I just told you what to do. Call Cummins directly and give them the engine serial number they will tell you what parts and you will be able to order them from Cummins.

You can call cummins and give them the engine serial number from the metal data tag on the timing cover and they can tell you all.

    Ether on mep-002a

I was able to start my mep-003a at 6 degrees with no problem I did about 30 seconds of preheat and then cranked it. It smoked and sputtered for a minute or so but then smoothed right out.

    Fixing Out of round Tires

The tires are designed to be retreaded. There should be plenty of meat if you want to take a bit off the tread area. A crack isn't going away no matter how much pressure you put in it. I think 100 psi in an older tire might be pushing it a little. You would have a hard ride. I try to stick with...

    Fixing Out of round Tires

I like the goodyears I think they ride a little nicer than the Michelin XZL's though the Michelins are probably better for offroad traction.

    Fixing Out of round Tires

If the front tires sat flat for a period of time I would not want to drive on them. The older style Michelins are notorious for blowing out. Especially if the sidewalls are really wavy. What are the date codes on the tires?
