The rebuild kits are pretty cheap online and it can usually be done in cab. Heads are available also. Unless you cracked the block or something like that.
It is my understanding the military has been selling them off in Europe for some time and they bring over 30k there consistently. I would buy a nice Unimog before I spent that kind of money on a humvee.
Lots of publicity equals lots of bids. I remember last year GL was on the front page of a major news network site and they had so much traffic the GL site crashed. I have to believe many bidders didnt quite understand the EUC process and no title offroad use only but only time will tell.
I pulled it off. The front half inch with the teeth section is sheared off. I don't know if the pump is seized up or the shaft just gave out after so many years. I found a new shaft online it was 55 bucks. I will see if the pump still spins and go from there. If it spins I may send it for...
I opened the window on the side of the pump to see where the mark was before I took the pump off. I spun the engine and the pump does not spin. Maybe a broken shaft.
If there was no euc requirements I think you would see a lot of overseas bidding. Especially since IP/GP has a worldwide audience. I think the no title offroad only requirement will hurt the sales in the US. I would bet the bidding does go high but overseas buyers will be declined on the EUC...
I dont think the expello valve is adjustable. If you look on the air dryer there are 3 lines going to it. Air in, air out and the air line from the governor. I believe its branched off the unloader air line.
When you reach governed max pressure, the governor tells the compressor to stop making pressure and it also tells the air dryer to vent its expello valve. Thats how the air dryer purges moisture it has removed from the air. I prefer my governor to be set around 135.
I have had communications equipment reclaimed prior to me having it picked up. It sucked it was good stuff I had bought dirt cheap. I don't think anyone else knew what it was so I was the only bidder. It wasn't anything that dealt with crypto or anything like that though. I see the first gen...
I don't see the military have use for older non armored vehicles that they no longer have repair parts stocked for. Much easier to print more money and send the factories into overdrive.
I have seen alot of "project" humvees for sale in varios plaves, that are already titled. One could swap all the parts from a good condition "no title offroad use only" vehicle onto the project vehicle that is already titled and it would be perfectly legal.
If someone asked you to preview something for them you can share your opinion via email or private message but you cant post upcoming auction info or your opinion on something coming up for auction in the open forum.
What he is saying is someone somewhere could easily complain or bring up some obscure law reg or other bs and put the quabash on the whole thing before it ever gets off the ground.
