I bought a rubber aftermarket version and a mil version and ended up using the aftermarket rubber one but had to use the wire from the mil one good thing I had both.
I guess I will have to stop being lazy and pull the pump. I have a local guy who is pretty reasonable on rebuilds. I was hoping it was something simple like a stuck lever or something.
The fuel solenoid functions. I opened the pump up. When I manually retract the arm that the solenoid normally retracts, the spring loaded part does not move much. Here are some pics inside the pump.
On the laundry trailers the onboard mep-003a has a second oil pressure gage mounted under the control box. It's not easy access to the standard location when it's mounted on the laundry setup.
It was posted in an article online that dla and govplanet sat down and came to an agreement to allow the off road use only sales of the soft side non armored variants.
It is. I am leaning towards a fuel shutoff issue. The tm diagram I found did not show the 24 volt solenoid inside the pump housing. I don't know if I would want to rebuild it myself. The whole gen looks like it was gone thru in 09. I am leaning towards the shutoff being the issue since I get...
I believe the 12v fan feed was for the low speed setting. None of my trucks have had this hooked up though. I use power converters for 12v switched on with a relay after I start the truck. I have new 100 amp converters in the classifieds.
I have some for sale in the classifieds. You can take off tank drain lines and pour alcohol into the tanks and it will circulate. I dont knoe about the antifreeze stuff. The tms dont reccommend anything but I have seen military mechanics using the alcohol.

I have 24 volts at the contacts, fuel to the pumps inlet and a verified clear return line. I did all the basic stuff. Has anyone had any experience opening the top of the pump. I dont want to inadvertently screw something up. The pump isnt cheap.

You need to drain the tanks every time. That's the number one way to keep the system moisture free. The updated air dryer helps a lot. You can put some alcohol in your system to get all that built up moisture out. It will take a long time if you have ctis and the tires have a lot of moisture in...
Possibly moisture frozen in an air line. Have you ever serviced your air dryer? How old is the cartridge? Do you drain your tanks every time you use the truck? The air dryer helps but doesn't do a superb job of cleaning the air. Especially when you are in a cold climate moisture wreaks havoc in...
I have a MEP-006a 60kw gen. I have used these gens before without issue. I just got this one and cant seem to get it going. New fuel filters installed, I get good fuel feed to the injection pump but none into it. This pump has the internal fuel solenoid and there is 24 volts to the contacts. The...
With the relay in place I used the pressure switch to give the relay a ground for activation and I have a dash switch that turns on my rear floods and it also activates the relay.
You can grab 24v off either pair of batteries get a ring connector and go to one of the batt terminals. I would advise a fuse inline. I prefer to use the pressure switch in the transmission with a relay in the battery box.
