OK Ive tried searching the TM section and cant find anything. Google does me no good either. Does anyone know the TM or any shop manuals that cover this transmission? I'm looking for something that covers disassembly and assembly. Ive got 2 and I want to open them up and check them out. Both...
Ive delt with some scrappers like that. Offered double what scrap prices were and no deal. Guys like that think someone will give them $$$ and it just sits for years till it goes in the crusher.
So in the pic above, are the front tires bigger than the rears? Overall diameter? If they are, make sure your front axle is disengaged and stays disengaged until you get matching diameter tires or youll bind up your tansfer case:!:
Is the actual shelter different from a S-250 shelter? I have a 250 that Im thinking of putting up in the back of my M715, minus any radio gear.
You guys that put the time into restoring this stuff back to original like this have my respect. [thumbzup] Great looking rig
Trust me, there will be just as much money wasted on scrapping them, its the Government. They will still truck them around, still have to have people do all the paper work, still man sites and so on and so on.
I have a cell phone for when Im out and about but still keep the landline at home because I have small children. Small enough that they ARE NOT getting cell phones but old enough to call 911 in an emergency. Cell phones and 911 sucks!
Yep paperwork is done after you have "won" the auction.
Good Luck. Dont get your heart set on one particular truck and get suckered into to paying way more than you should just because you think you have to have that one.

If I can piggy back on this thread, does anyone have a close up pic of the way the bracket is bolted to the truck? My M818 does not have brackets on it and just like pics 2 and 3 above my truck has only one hole in the frame rail at the back. Does the lower rivet need to be removed?
