I "kinda" had an idea about it working that way. Thanks.
By-the-way I spent a little bit of time over in your part of the world back in the early 90's
I was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford with the USAF. Someday I hope to make it back with the wife and kids. Beautiful countrysides.
The only scary part was wondering if I was going to go for a fourth hernia when I had to un-hook the thing.
I now have a medium tow bar and StreetBikeDepot and his gang get to mess around with the heavy one.
Thats really cool. To a lot of us here, seeing MV's is no big deal, we own them and are around them every day. But some people in the general public rarely get to see them let alone climb around in them. [thumbzup]
I second what DaveP said about losing the power steering. I had a p/s hose blow out on mine and thought I was going to die before I got it stopped. Scared the hell out of me as it had a mind of it's own and darted all over the road. Luckily I was only a couple blocks from home when it happened...
I dont think the watch list works for demil b and q items, or something like that (trucks and trailers) you have to bid on it and then check the bid history pages
Yeah I realized I missed that. When I went to pick up my M818 last spring when I showed up they had my name and city/state painted on the front. When I asked about it, the Sgt said he went on leave and left some private in charge of the GL lots and he screwed it all up and shipped the wrong...
If Your happy with the trailer you got I supose all is good...... but This is the second or third time in less than a year I have seen GL do this. They need to straighten up before someone with money and lawyers gets taken like this. The guy that bid on the trailer you got might really want it...
Just curious, how were the trailers sold? by individual lot, with vins or serial #'s or just first come first serve? Does the auction state that the trailer you receive may not be the one in the pic?
Sitting on a concrete pad outside some building? My money is on the DOD still owning it. Even if I won the lottery and had cash in hand to buy it I'd make damn sure the paper trail checks out.
