David, the plates look good. How about making the 3rd plate into a XM381 plate for the gasser crowd (no A2)? Well I guess it's not a crowd more like a couple. I'd buy one.[thumbzup]
David, now that you have them in whatever format, what happens next? I am curious how data plates are actually made. Are they etched? Screened? What is the difference in the end product, looks, and what did the army origionally have?
Notice all the rust? I am guessing MACCUS will chime in on these. I believe they have been there along time and are awaiting GSA disposal. If it's the yard I think it is, they have been there a few years. (notice the 2 1950-1952 M35's)
Personally, I'm thinking it won't be that easy. You would want to keep the front springs etc. Also the rear suspension (not necessarily the axle). This will gain several hundred pounds at least, and it won't lay flat like a frame.:confused:
