    Hauling a deuce frame.

Gimp, he wants the frame and plate for the dropside I believe. We are all hoping by swapping in a matching frame/plate he eventually gets the urge to install a 331 in place of the multi in the future.

    Attention, Atlanta, Ga people

Welcome to SS. I am in Rockmart GA along with Twright. JoeM62 and Wreckerman are just down the road. We have many (too many) MV's and trailers sitting in the yard including several CUCV's for sale. We are about 40 minutes from Smyrna.

Rookie with new m101a1, pintle hook questions and more

First off go back to tractor supply and smack that idiot upside the head, don't cut up your trailers tongue. They make slide in receivers for the pintle hitch trailers. I believe tractor supply even sells them. Any decent truck 4wd store should have them.[thumbzup]

    M-37 gas tank

There's alot of people parting M37's. I think there's even a couple in the classifieds. Also Vintage power wagons and Midwest Military should have takeouts.

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

They definately do look better that way but M34 beds are kind of hard to find.

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

The Detroit Spreadsheet is the correct numbers for a short deuce GASSER. Multi's are alot heavier (around 500lbs or so). If you did a plate to the gasser specs (without the A2), I'd buy one FYI.

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

The correct designation for the bobbed deuce was XM-381. Since you are doing multi's, it would be safe to assume the correct designation would be XM-381A2. Did you get the info (weights etc) from the detroit arsenal build sheet? There is a link here somewhere.

    deuce and 10,000 pounds

One thing that has not been brought up is not whether it can actually be done, but is it legal to tow that much weight without brakes? We are currently in WI right now and the limit (with a couple exceptions) is 3K here. That would make almost everything talked about towing in this thread...

    My New M37

Congrats on the purchase, I talked to you at the auction (My wife bought the coot). Why buy another M37? You should try a different M37 varient and get the collection really going![thumbzup]
