The deck is slightly different than a M48 and he said it was a M35 modified by a fire department out there, we had no reason to believe it was a M48 when I bought the sheetmetal.
Am I the only one who see's alot, A LOT, A VERY VERY LOT, of issues with this? Sounds good but, First off Richard doesn't disassemble (he cuts), second yellow with black trim sounds good in AL, third everything that can be removed with minimum wringing of hands will be removed but engine and cab...
When you do a search try to be as specific as you can. If you search bellhousing plug for example, there's a few out of the first ten that give the answer or at least clues.
He doesn't have any other parts, stripped at the fire dept. MACCUS was going to get the cab and bring it, we didn't know it was a M48, but the guy had already cut it and wanted the whole section gone as one piece and wouldn't send it any other way (wouldn't even let us pull the 2 front cab bolts...
Well today MACCUS and I were going to receive the new rust free gasser cab/sheetmetal for the M48 in WI. Well the guy gets here from Montana, super late with some minor issues. We unload the perfect cab/sheetmetal and guess what? It's an early 50's rust free gasser REO M48 W/W. Bad thing he cut...

Here's a pic of the MC-1. It has the decking too and doesn't have the rear structure either. Might be one or the other having been modified. Notice how the boom on your picture is a different color too?

The MC-1 and XM-61 are both very similar. I have seen the XM-61 at Jacks and it looks alot like it but it is different. The most obvious thing is that the XM-61 has a diamond plate bed that the crane sits on. I have only seen one picture of the MC-1 and I think that was in a MVM article. I would...
None of your junkyards have doors or tailgates for 1/2 to 1 ton 1981-1987 chevy trucks? WOW. For new try Year One, I think door shells are $155 didn't look up tailgates.
